About us

Two generations, one team

RMDV is not an agency with staff turnover. We are José and Bruno Schenone: the two people who will handle your project, and the same two who will still be handling it in five years.

1991

Where RMDV comes from

RMDV is built on the experience of José Schenone, who has worked with GNU/Linux and Unix systems since 1991. He has administered production servers without interruption ever since.

That career has run through small companies, where one person covers the whole range — from the cabling to the database — and through large organisations, where an outage is measured in the number of people affected. Alongside it, teaching: Linux courses and training for systems administrators, at university level and privately.

Bruno Schenone is part of the team as a junior DevOps engineer, working on deployments, monitoring, backups and development across production systems. Continuity is built in: RMDV is a family firm, and the second generation is already part of the daily work.

Why RMDV

How we like to work

We say no

If what you are asking for will not help you, we say so before invoicing it. We would rather lose the job than ship something that will not work.

We document everything

Every system is documented. No knowledge that lives only in one person's head.

We speak plainly

No jargon to impress anyone. We explain what is happening and what we propose to do, in words that make sense.

One point of contact

We will not send you off to talk to the hosting company, the web developer and the network people. There is one door, and we are behind it.

Where we work from

From the red earth, to the world

UTC−3

Our working day overlaps with North America and with European mornings.

Español · English

We work and document in both languages.

100% remote

Or on site in Misiones, when the job calls for it.

Everything we do comes out of Misiones, in the north-east of Argentina — a province of red soil and subtropical jungle, on the border with Brazil and Paraguay. That is not a footnote: it is a choice. We live here, our family is here, and from here we administer the servers — spread across several data centres — that serve people all over Latin America.

For a long time it was taken for granted that serious technical work meant moving to a capital city. We proved otherwise. The connectivity is here, the servers respond the same, and experience does not depend on a postcode. What does change is how you work: here you know your clients, you answer the phone yourself, and you own the outcome — because tomorrow you will run into them in the street.

We are proud to do all of this from Misiones, and to show, one project at a time, that from here you can answer to the whole world.

Let's talk

Got a system that keeps you up at night?

Tell us what is going on. We will look at what you have, tell you what we found, and only then talk about budget.
